Grasshopper Class
Welcome to our Grasshopper Class, a nurturing and engaging environment designed specifically for our learners, aged 18 to 24 months. In this classroom, our primary focus is on helping our little ones settle into the school environment, feel secure, and develop a sense of belonging.
While maintaining a consistent daily routine, our Grasshopper Class schedule is carefully designed to accommodate the unique needs and rhythms of our toddlers. Each day includes:
– Morning Ring: a gentle introduction to the day, featuring songs, stories, and group activities
– Class Time: a dynamic and interactive period filled with sensory, gross motor, and fine motor activities, tailored to promote exploration, discovery, and learning
In our Grasshopper Class, you can expect to see your child engaging in a variety of activities, including:
– Sensory Play: exploring textures, colors, and smells through play-based experiences
– Gross Motor Development: crawling, walking, climbing, and balancing to promote physical growth and coordination
– Fine Motor Skills: manipulating objects, using utensils, and engaging in activities that refine hand-eye coordination and dexterity
Our Grasshopper Class is equipped with specially designed Montessori materials that promote hands-on learning and exploration. Our classroom is divided into several areas, each designed to promote a specific aspect of your child’s development:
– Practical Life Area: develops independence, self-care, and fine motor skills
– Sensorial Area: develops sensory awareness and discrimination
– Language Area: develops reading, writing, and communication skills
– Cultural Area: develops an understanding of the world, its cultures, and its geography
In our Grasshopper Class, we place a strong emphasis on language development through our Cultural area. Our Cultural area is designed to foster a love of language and learning, while promoting an understanding of the world and its cultures. Our experienced and caring teachers are dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and stimulating environment that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in our learners.
